Stacey Solum Prescott is the founder of Beautifully You Salon + Hair Lab and creator of CURLtelligence™ and Booked Beyond the Buzz™, two education platforms designed to address both sides of building a successful career behind the chair: becoming exceptional at what you do and building a business that allows that expertise to thrive.

A Master Cosmetologist, salon owner, educator, and published author, Stacey developed CURLtelligence™ from years of specializing in natural curls and questioning the conventional explanations that didn't adequately explain what she was seeing behind the chair. Her science-centered approach teaches stylists to look beyond curl typing and product selection to better understand the structure, condition, and behavior of naturally textured hair.

But Stacey also understands that being exceptional at your craft doesn't automatically create a successful business. With a B.S. in Psychology, experience teaching psychology at the college level, and graduate study in marketing, she created Booked Beyond the Buzz™ to help beauty professionals understand the other human being in the salon equation: the client. Her business education explores consumer behavior, trust, word of mouth, positioning, and the psychology behind why some professionals become sought-after names while equally talented stylists struggle to be noticed.

Stacey owns Beautifully You Salon + Hair Lab in Valdosta, Georgia and is a contributing author to the Board of Certified Haircolorists' Colorcraft. Her career has included roles as a regional educator, college instructor, business owner, and industry speaker, giving her the unusual ability to move comfortably between science, psychology, business, and the realities of working behind the chair.

Whether she's unpacking the science of a curl or the psychology of a referral, Stacey's teaching begins with the same question: Why? Because when stylists understand why something works, they don't simply leave with another technique to copy. They leave better equipped to think, adapt, and make confident decisions for themselves.
